Client testimonial: Redefining Health and Fitness AS A FEMALE
Before working with Rose, I had a completely skewed perception of what fitness and health actually meant.
As a recent college graduate moving to a new city where I didn’t know anyone, I signed up for a 50-hour Yoga Sculpt training mostly to build community—and honestly, to give myself an excuse to keep working out while juggling a demanding sales job with long hours. Rose was one of the lead instructors in the program, and after it ended, I stayed connected with her through social media.
I’d see her doing multiple pull-ups at the beach, lifting in her home gym, and just consistently showing up for herself. Meanwhile, I was falling into habits I wasn’t proud of—adjusting to a new city, working a job I didn’t love, and slowly losing the routine I once had. I knew I needed accountability, and Rose felt like the right person to turn to.
When I started training with her, I was 10–15 pounds heavier than I had ever been. I couldn’t do a push-up or a pull-up, and even basic lifts would hurt my lower back. We started from the ground up—relearning movement, rebuilding coordination, and most importantly, helping me feel comfortable in my body again.
At first, I was focused on weight loss. Rose met me there, but never let me lose sight of the bigger picture: strength, consistency, and sustainability. As I got more comfortable, she also guided me through nutrition. I used to think that losing weight meant cutting out all the foods I loved and constantly feeling hungry. That couldn’t have been further from the truth.
She taught me how to track my calories in a realistic way, prioritize protein, and build balanced meals without restriction. Over the course of a year, I stayed in a calorie deficit while still fueling my body enough to build muscle. I lost the weight I wanted to, but more importantly, I became stronger than I had ever been.
Now, I’m at a place where I feel confident in my body and excited to keep building muscle—not just chasing a number on the scale.
Rose started as my yoga instructor, became my trainer, and is now one of my closest friends. I’m incredibly grateful for the impact she’s had on my life—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
